Why start in Europe?
It was right for what we wanted to build. We've worked and lived in London, are familiar with the financial services space here, and have established a strong network in the area. It just made more sense for Gradient Labs to start in Europe.
That bet that we made two years ago has paid off. We’ve launched a phenomenal product, our agent consistently beats human agents and we’ve won every live POC against any competitor - ask me for proof :-)
We're powering some of the most innovative fintech companies in Europe, like Zego, Plum, Nala, and more. We were selected as one of Europe's 50 most promising startups. And just the other week, Danai, our co-founder, was named one of the 100 women in Tech in Europe 2025. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far and equally excited for what’s ahead.
Our goal is to provide an exceptional customer experience for financial services everywhere, powered by our AI support agent.
That's why the next chapter of Gradient Labs starts in the United States.

Why the US, and why now
A few months ago, US fintechs started reaching out to us. We had no team, no presence, no pitch deck, just a product they heard about and wanted. Those messages made us look west.
Europe gave us a crash course in building an AI agent that banks trust: we are the first company to deploy an AI support agent in a large regulated bank. As far as I know, it’s the first of its kind globally and found product-market fit inside the most challenging regulatory environment. We shipped agents that pass the highest bar on the planet.
Now, we’re bringing our agent to the largest market and stage - the US.
Purpose-Built for Finance
Here's what we've learned working with financial institutions: generic AI support bots don't cut it. A chatbot built for e-commerce or SaaS support can't just be dropped into a bank or fintech company and be expected to work. Financial services is different.
Your customers are asking about their money. They want to know why a transaction failed, when their funds will arrive, how to dispute a charge, and whether their account is secure. There’s no room for error or hallucinations. They require precision, security, and reliability.
That's why we built Gradient Labs specifically for financial services from day one. We're not retrofitting a general-purpose AI tool to work in finance. We're the only vertical AI support agent focused exclusively on this industry, which means every feature, every guardrail, and compliance consideration has been designed with financial institutions in mind.
We understand transaction reconciliation, fraud detection workflows, KYC requirements, and the specific language customers use when they're confused or concerned about their finances. Our AI agents don't just answer questions, they resolve issues in ways that build trust and keep customers engaged with your platform.
Building the Dream Team
This expansion goes beyond geography. It's about bringing together the right people who understand both the technology and the market. That's why we're thrilled to have Zan Faruqui join us as our Head of GTM. We’ve also made key leadership hires with a Head of Marketing in the US joining us soon and a Head of AI Delivery in the UK, which we will announce in the coming weeks and months.
We're forming a world-class team that can partner with financial institutions at every stage - from initial conversations about what our AI support can do, to implementation, to scaling across multiple channels and use cases.
Let's Talk

We're actively engaging with financial institutions across the US that want to scale their support with a compliant and secure AI agent. Whether you're a fintech looking to reduce support costs while growing rapidly, a regional bank aiming to compete with digital-first competitors, or an established institution exploring how AI can transform customer experience, we'd love to hear from you.
If you'll be at Money 20/20 in Las Vegas, come by and say hello. You'll find us giving away some swag at our booth (19105) or throwing darts at Flight Club for a happy hour on Monday night.
The future of financial services support is smart, instant, and built on trust. We're excited to build that future together with partners in the US.
