What it does

When a transaction is flagged, the review window is narrow. Customers with legitimate transactions are blocked. Unverified fraud alerts sit in a queue. Manual outreach to get a yes or no from the customer is slow and inconsistent.

The Gradient Labs AI agent contacts customers automatically when a flagged transaction needs confirmation. It verifies their identity, collects their response, and closes the case in the fraud management system.

The alert queue clears faster, without adding headcount to the fraud ops team.

Sample-conversation

How it works

The agent picks up flagged transactions and inspects the details: amount, date, counterparty, payment reference. If the purpose of the transaction or source of funds isn't clear from the data alone, it reaches out to the customer to ask.

It then reviews the customer's transaction history for patterns: typical frequency, size, common counterparties, geographic behaviour, and balance trends.

It compares the flagged transaction against that baseline to decide whether it's genuinely anomalous. The agent then accepts or rejects the transaction with documented reasoning.
